Ope Banwo - Principal Partner

Ope Banwo, who was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1986, the New York Bar, 1997 and the Nebraska Federal District Court in 1997, has been engaged in Law Practice for over 23 years both in Nigeria and United States of America . He has handled hundreds of cases in areas of Media and Entertainment, Commercial Law, Banking and Finance, Employment Law and Immigration Law among others. He has given many seminars on Legal jurisprudence both here in the United States , Europe and Nigeria .

Ope Banwo, who graduated from University of Ife in 1985 and obtained his Master's Degree in Law from University of Lagos in 1988, is a licensed attorney in two states in the United States (New York Supreme Court and Nebraska Fedral District Court) and in the Federal republic of Nigeria . He is the Managing Partner of Banwo and Igbokwe Offices, Attorneys with offices in Nebraska , New York and Lagos . He is also owner of Dominion Care-Givers and National Work-force Training Institute, in Omaha , Nebraska . USA among other business concerns.

He is priviledged to apply his practical experience as a Chief Executive officer for multi-national corporations in the areas of Banking and Finance as well as Media and Entertainment law for many years in providing our clients with cutting edge legal advise in many areas in the most effective and efficient manner.


Chinedu Igbokwe - Partner (Omaha, NE. USA Office)

 

Chinedu Igbokwe obtained his first degree from Creighton University in 2003 and Creighton Law in 2007. He has represented various international corporate and individual clients in State and Federal Courts in the United States . His wide spectrum of experience covers Corporate and Commercial Law, Civil litigation, Bankruptcy and Corporate Re-organization, Oil and Gas, Immigration and Nationality Law, Aircraft and Aviation law.

Mr Igbokwe currently manages our Omaha, Nebraska U.S office and handles complex corporate transactions, cirminal defence as well as immigraiton matters.


Adeshola Adeyemo - Partner (New York Office)

 

Born Lagos Nigeria 1963; Admitted: to the Nigerian Bar, 1986 to New York Bar 1994; Education: University of Ife, Ile Ife (LL.B Hons) 1985; Barrister at Law, Nigeria Law School (B.L) 1986, Obafemi Awolowo University, University, Ago Iwoye (LL.M) 1988. Work Experience: Royce Investment Corp., Westbury, New York.

 

His U.S Law practice experience since since 1994 include Corporate/Business Law, Immigration and Consular Law, Family Law< General Civil Litigation, Debtor/Creditor Law and Medical Malpractice/Personal Injury Law. Membership: Nigerian Bar Association; New York Bar Association; New York Country Lawyers Association, US District Court, Easter and Southern District of New York


Oluyinka Oyeniji (Senior Associate - Lagos Office)

 

Oluyinka Oyeniji, LL.B, B.L, LL.M has had over 7 years experience in coporate law and litigations. Yinka Oyeniji was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2002. Since his call to the Bar, Yinka Oyeniji has worked with several prestigious law firms including Wole olanipekun and Co, Fidelity Chambers, and Usman and Halima Associates.

Yinka Oyeniji graduated with honors from the Ogun State University in 2001 with his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and later obtained his Masters of Laws (LL.M) Degree from the University of Lagos in 2005.

Prior to joining Banwo and Igbokwe as a Senior Associate he was also variously the legal consulant and solicitor to several blue chip companies including Dove Media, Air France, Commonwealth Consortium Ltd and several others. Yinka Oyeniji has extensive experience with commercial litigations, media and copyright laws as well as consumer related litigation and matters.

He has attended several seminiars and conferences of the latest develpoments in corporate law practice and litigations. He is currently the head of litigations for Banwo and Igbokwe law firm at their Lagos office


Yemi Salman (Senior Associate)

 

Yemi Salman graduated from the University Of Ilorin with a Second Class (Upper Division) and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2007. Yemi's is a seasoned litigation attorney with extensive experince with banking transactions, Class Actions, Commercial disputes and Debt Recovery.


Adedayo Adebisi (Associate Attorney)

 

Adedayo Adebisi is a graduate of the University of Lagos in 2006 and admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2007. Adedayo's experience include corporate and commercial practice and litigation, Capital Market Litigation, Class Actions, Banking related litigation, Contractual Disputes, Marine and Oil/Gas Transactions.


Bukunola Mendes (Associate Attorney)

 

Bukky Mendes obtained a diploma in law at Olabisi Onabanjo University in 2001,an LL.B in 2006 and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2007. He also obtained a Professional Negotiator and Mediator license in 2008. She is an experienced Corporate Attorney who started her career with Ministry of Justice, Zamfara in 2008 before moving to Agabi, Shinaba, Ogon and Co in 2008 where she garnered experience in Trade Mark, Intellectual Property, and Company Secretarial Work Since she joined Banwo and Igbokwe in 2009 she has expanded her experience in Corporate/Business Law, Intellectual Property Law, Administrative Law


Anthony Aregbe (Associate Attorney)

 

Anthony Aregbe is a Second Class (Upper Division) graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University where she bagged a Bachelor of Laws Degree in 2006. He was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2007 and presently pursues a Masters Degree in law from University of Lagos with specialization in secured credit transactions. His extensive practice experience which started with with Chief Anthony Aribisala, S.A.N include practical experience with Receivership Actions, Insolvency,Criminal Defence, Contract Disputes, and General Litigation
